Julie Morgan, MA, LPC
Julie Morgan joins All Points North Lodge’s clinical team as a Trauma Mental Health Therapist bringing her vast variety of experience to the lodge. Her unique approach of addressing her clients holistically including the mind, body and spirit defines the success she has in guiding those through trauma therapy.
Julie has worked in mental health for 11 years. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and has additional training with Harvard Medical School in Global Mental Health and Traumatic recovery. She has worked within many cultures and contexts including high level business executives, veterans, Native American peoples and refugee populations. Her experience allows her to continue to counsel pro-bono a small number of clients effected by war. Her primary focus is trauma resolution and she works somatically, attending to deep holding in the body of physical, emotional and psychological wounding. She works psycho-dynamically, seeking to understand and repair attachment issues. Julie’s goal is for her clients to become independent of prior constrictions due to psychological trauma and to help them become cognizant of their own choices and their freedom to choose much of their reality.
For school, Julie earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. Next, she went on to study Traumatic Stress Studies at The Trauma Center at JRI Institute in Cambridge, MA. Following her trauma studies, she earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling at Southern Western College in Santa Fe. Most recently, she studied International Trauma and Recovery in Global Mental Health at Harvard Medical school in Cambridge, MA.
Since 2011, Julie has been leading her career in the clinical setting as a clinical therapist and lead trauma therapist. She is well versed in various therapeutic modalities such as CPT, CBT, DBT, Motivational interviewing and grief and loss training.
She is confident in her ability to see each person as a unique individual in any setting and is excited to work alongside her colleagues here at APN Lodge. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
