Pilates is a fitness modality designed to lengthen and strengthen the body. It focuses on controlled movements and is an excellent practice for clients seeking a stronger and healthier physique.

According to the NHS, pilates places a large emphasis on core work and strengthening, but it aims to create an equal level of fitness throughout the entire body.

Floor work, ball work, apparatus work, and more allow isolation of even the smallest muscles to refine fitness and strength. Pilates falls closely in line with the values of All Points North Lodge in its conviction that mind health and body health are tied together.

The creator, Joseph Pilates, originally founded what was then called “contrology”, which was influenced by wrestling, gymnastics, and more.
