*Horseback Riding is an add-on activity at All Points North Lodge. However, it is currently unavailable during COVID-19.
Joining another creature in movement is an experiential exercise with the capacity to teach us how to cooperate, trust, and support others – whether that be horses or humans.
Distinct from actual equine therapy, horseback riding allows clients to step out of their comfort zone and trust something outside of themselves.
Horseback riding through the mountain trails surrounded by Aspen trees and tall grass is located just outside the neighborhood of APN Lodge.
Though not as targeted as equine therapy, APN therapists can use trail riding with clients as an opportunity for experiential therapy – to practice skills and habits being formed in other aspects of the clients’ time at APN Lodge.
Horseback riding along our town’s many trails provides clients with a sense of freedom while they build a connection to their surroundings.
