Telehealth Clinical Director

APN Lodge is hiring a Telehealth Clinical Director in Malibu, CA or Edwards, CO.

Experience: Seven years of clinical and five years of supervisory experience working with clients in a SA\MH setting. Must demonstrate working knowledge of clinical supervision with behavioral healthcare professionals, as well as a documented history of facilitating clinical supervision for candidates seeking or maintaining professional credentials. Experience also to include: family, group, and individual therapy/counseling; must be experienced with the supervision and management of SA|MH services within a variety of modalities and populations. Must have experience working with adult population.

Broad Statement of Responsibilities: Provides clinical supervision to all Telehealth clinical programs via APN Connection. the clinical teams; ensures the systematic provision of treatment and integrated care services such as case management, wellness and primary care, individual, educational, group, and family therapy for tele-clients. Telehealth Clinical Director is responsible for communication among staff, tele-clients, families, and external resources to ensure collaboration and continuity of treatment; actively participates as a part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Responsible for oversight of teleassessment, tele-treatment, and discharge planning from tele-programming. Responsible for utilization review system’s compliance for tele-clients; as appropriate, will ensure follow up and aftercare of consumer. Telehealth Clinical Director must present self and service line in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Serves on the management team of All Points North Lodge-must be able to demonstrate the managerial application and support of a highly efficient, values-driven culture.

Education: This position requires a Graduate Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited college or university. Ideally, will possess Dual Licensure: Colorado OBH credentialing (CACIII)\licensing (LAC) in addiction counseling and OBH mental health professional licensure (or equivalent and ability to acquire equitable Colorado credentials).

Special Skills & Knowledge: Exceptional verbal and written skills are required to effectively express ideas and views when (a) speaking to groups, staff, outside professionals, and corporate officers; (b) for preparing written reports; (c.) data input. Must possess initiative and judgment capabilities to organize and plan activities, systematize procedures, promote favorable public relations, and make decisions affecting service delivery to clients. Must be flexible to adjust to changing conditions and the various details of the job;

Position Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities include but are not limited to):

Provides and ensures the quality provision of:


  • Provide effective role modeling and leadership to the telehealth treatment team.
  • Provide clinical supervision to tele-therapists\addiction\mental health counselors and candidates for ongoing certification\licensure.
  • Orient\Train assigned staff to roles and duties.
  • Complete 90-day and annual performance evaluations per established timelines.
  • Ensure coverage for all scheduled services.


  • Collect thorough, relevant and pertinent data to inform treatment recommendations and planning.
  • Produce Bio-Psycho-social assessments in a timely manner.
  • Follow All Points North Lodge CQI process.
  • Assess client for appropriate admission criteria.


  • Collect pertinent data.
  • Produce diagnostic summaries in a timely manner.
  • Follow All Points North Lodge CQI standards.

(Person-Centered) TREATMENT PLANS

  • Devise treatment plans that reflect recovery goals\objectives and any pertinent A&D treatment planning that pertains to the needs of the individual family and client.
  • Complete tele-treatment plans in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the onsite team for proper continuation of treatment, when applicable.
  • Follow All Points North Lodge CQI standards.


  • Formulate appropriate post-discharge placement plans that include services for consumers and families that maximize the potential for success.
  • Inform administrative staff of pending/planned discharges.
  • At discharge, assess consumer’s appropriateness for discharge and continued care needs.


  • Plan and delegate family therapy sessions for each family according to person-centered plan.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Use and accept co-counselor(s) for observation/supervision and training.


  • Plan and delegate therapy to clients as is deemed needed by treatment plans.
  • Use and accept co-counselor(s) for observation/supervision and training.


  • Plan and delegate group therapy as is deemed necessary by treatment plans.
  • Organize and conduct weekly specialty groups as assigned.
  • Use and accept co-counselor(s) for observation/supervision and training.


  • Facilitate regularly scheduled treatment team meetings.
  • Provide clinical expertise and interact with a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Document meetings and recommendations within the client’s medical record.


  • Review tele-treatment plans on a scheduled basis with the treatment team following APN standards.
  • Provide written treatment plan reviews for placement in clinical records as assigned.
  • Obtain client signatures on all necessary forms.


  • Maintain regular contact with referral sources as indicated.
  • Update on the client’s progress.
  • Develop appropriate discharge plans collaborating with referral sources.
  • Prepare and conduct concurrent reviews to referral sources.


  • Responsible for timely completion of medical record documentation.
  • Documentation of all outside contacts as well as therapy sessions will be maintained.


  • Maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with all disciplines.
  • Keeps supervisors informed.
  • Open to feedback and supervision.
